The 2022 No. 1 draft pick mentioned how he often thinks about the upcoming season and who he’ll be playing with. “It’s funny, during the summer you wonder how things are going to be throughout the year and who you’re going to play with and what your role is going to be,” Slafkovsky said in an interview.
He even joked about wanting to skip training camp altogether . “I wish we could skip training camp and just start the season because I’m excited to play games that mean something,” he added.
